Thanks for joining us and checking out what's been going on with Jane Morba Photography! We have plenty of events to update you on but we couldn't resist featuring a totally different side to our photography services: pet portraits.

Quail Lodge asked us to offer dog portraits for the 1st Annual Dog Track and Field held by the United States Dog Association. The USDA sponsors these events all over the country and as dog owners ourselves, we were honored to participate and be part of all the festivities.

There's some serious competition going on here but if you're thinking about entering, you can start with the 'beginner' course!

The SPCA was located just behind our tent and there was plenty of interest.

We finished our coffees, had a bite to eat and it was time to work. This beautiful French Bulldog was our first client !

This Australian Cattledog (on the right) was totally blind but full of personality!

'Riley' was recently adopted - he seems really happy with the new owners!

We finished up our day with this dynamic duo. Although we were exhausted from all of the wind and sun, we met some great dogs and people too! Our most recent family portrait features Lauren, Rob, Madden and Piper - we're sure that you'll be able to figure out who's who! This Bay Area couple took out a few days from their busy schedule and spent some quality family time in the sand and surf at Carmel Beach. Oh, and they also decided to have a little 'photo documentation' to go with it!

Madden is 10 months old and should be walking any day - she's pretty grown up for her age.

A very special location. Jane and I shared with the shooting duties while our assistant Albert had 'baby toy' in hand to get Madden's attention... Piper needed some 'focusing' too!

We headed from the 'Dunes' down to the beach and took a walk in preparation for the shot that Lauren really wanted.

And couldn't resist this 'posed' shot with Pebble Beach in the background.

A few details along the way.

Voila! The hour goes by so fast and we really enjoyed ourselves but it was definitely time to wrap: the sun disappeared quickly and Madden needing some wrapping up herself! It can get a bit chilly at Carmel Beach in the summertime so don't forget your layers.
